Spring Summit – Powerful

"5 Stars!"

"This conference was inspiring! Thanks!"

"Great! Great! Great!"

These were just a few of the comments from those who attended the Spring Summit on Saturday, April 21st in Lee's Summit, Missouri.  The morning began with prayer and corporate worship.  It was then time to hear from our guest speakers.

Heidi Hogan is the wife of an Overland Park, Kansas police officer and she brought to our attention how policing affects the spouse and family of an officer.  She also presented what she felt Chaplains could offer not only an officer, but their family as well.

Heidi is an RN, CCRN and is a speaker, an author at Law Enforcement Today, and an avid supporter and encourager of Law Enforcement Officer's wives.  She is an active member of Harvest Bible Chapel KC.  She can be heard on Bott Radio and the "Watch Your 6 Podcast".

Sgt Martin Studdard of the Grandview, Missouri Police Department provided his perspective on whether or not the cultural shift in America affects how Law Enforcement Officers perform their day to day duties.  He spoke about the affects policing has on his family relations and how he keeps his priorities in proper perspective.

Both speakers afforded those in attendance an opportunity for a time of Q&A.

Along with time spent in small discussion groups where Chaplains could discuss their successes, their failures, and pray with one another, the group shared a meal and then spent time sharing what they could take back to their Chaplain corps and departments.

The next Summit will be held September 22, 2018.  If you would like to host this event, please contact us at midwestchaplainassociation@gmail.com
